SOAS Insights into East Asia Afternoon

The SOAS community - students, alumni, staff - are warmly invited to join us for our second SOAS Insights into East Asia Afternoon, featuring careers-and-cultural workshops on China, Japan and South Korea. A selection of East Asian teas will be served as refreshments. Following our interactive workshops, there will be pre-bookable individual discussion slots for students and alumni who are curious about living and working in China in the role of Educational Ambassador.

Ambassador Year in China Programme - an overview (aka 'Opportunities in China')

Japanese Daily Life - an interactive workshop

A former JET Programme participant facilitates discussion on aspects of Japanese culture and society.

3 p.m.

South Korean Fortresses - a guided tour

A visual introduction to South Korea's often overlooked and unacknowledged 'great walls', from Suwon to the south of the Korean peninsula.

4 p.m. onwards

Individual discussion slots (10 minutes each) for talented SOAS students and alumni who are interested in Ambassador Year in China or would like to discuss other opportunities to live and work in East Asia
