The Ambassador Year in China team in Shanghai and New York as well as the British Isles are thrilled to announce that our second event at UCD - the alma mater of James Joyce - will be hosted at University College Dublin's prominent Confucius Institute for Ireland. This groundbreaking 'Insights into East Asia' event at one of Ireland's leading universities will include an East Asian tea-and-snack reception and the chance to chat informally about living and working in China before the main Ambassador Year in China presentation at the Confucius Institute Theatre.
Schedule 项目的时刻表
3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Ambassador Year in China East Asian Tea Reception 下午茶
Members of the UCD community are warmly invited to stop in the foyer of the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland, under the gaze of a bust of Confucius, to sample East Asian teas and refreshments while chatting about the Ambassador Year in China Programme, opportunities with Ambright Education Group (which supports AYC), and East Asian cultures.
5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Ambassador Year in China Presentation 陈述
This stimulating and informative one-hour session will be of particular interest to high-calibre, talented UCD students who are in their final year of a bachelor or master's degree, or have graduated, and are already studying Mandarin or keen to engage further with Chinese culture(s) in the role of Educational Ambassador. Our 'Opportunities in China' presentation at the Confucius Institute Theatre furnishes attendees with an efficient overview of the 10-month graduate cultural exchange and teaching programme, insights into living and working in China, plus a whirlwind tour of this vast country highlighting its diversity and putting Ambassador Year in China placements in geographical context. There will be time for brief Q&A. Attendees who wish to apply for the role of Educational Ambassador on our 2020-21 programme will have the opportunity to register interest during the session.
The regional co-ordinator will be delighted to chat with attendees after the session.
