  • Session offered by Durham University in conjunction with Ambright and the Ambassador Year in China team

The Ambassador Year in China team, GoGlobal Jobs and Shanghai Ambright Education Group are delighted to be launching a new graduate scheme tailor-made for talented recent graduates of Durham University. We are thrilled to be bringing the culture of Durham, as well as Durham University talent, to major cities and groundbreaking schools in China. Following the enthusiastic response from Durham University students to our first joint webinar to launch the Durham-AYC graduate scheme on 25th November 2020, we are thrilled to be returning to Durham (virtually, at least!) to give talented Durham students a chance to find out more before applying.

First, the story so far. Our Durham-AYC webinar in November - for those who missed it - offered insights into the exciting new placements reserved for selected Durham University Graduate Ambassadors at the Thomas Schools of China in major central-eastern Chinese cities (Shanghai, Jinan, Hefei, Nanjing); it included, too, an overview of the new graduate scheme and essential tips for applying. We were pleased to bring together a strong panel of host and co-presenters from Durham University, several teams at Ambright Shanghai headquarters, and the Jinan Thomas School, as well as our UK & Ireland co-ordinator - and very happy to meet and engage with talented and highly motivated Durham students.

Our second Durham-AYC graduate webinar will address other issues and give talented students another opportunity to ask questions and find out more about working in China before applying. For this session, Durham University's global internships manager and Ambright's UK & Ireland representative will be joined by a specialist international career consultant from Durham University. The co-presenters will be available for live Q&A, and further, individual consultation is possible on request after the main webinar. The session promises to be engaging and informative, with an overview of the graduate scheme, a reminder of application tips, a guided tour of China to put Thomas School placements in context, and specialist advice from a Durham University international career advisor. Please do come along - we look forward very much to meeting you or seeing you again.
