We are particularly keen to meet talented St Andrews students who intend to apply for the role of Educational Ambassador for the September 2020 AYC programme (goayc.org), as well as other roles with Shanghai-headquartered Ambright Education Group (http://en.ambrightgroup.com/site/about).

This stimulating and informative session will include an efficient overview of the AYC programme, a guided tour of China to put placements in geographical and cultural context, insights into living and working in the Chinese-speaking world, plus brief Q&A.
2 p.m. to 2.45 p.m. - Daily Life in Japan
This interactive slideshow and rich cross-cultural discussion facilitated by a former JET Programme participant offers insights into Japanese culture and society, from temples and Zen gardens to etiquette for visiting a new acquaintance at home in Japan. 2.45 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. - Explore South Korean Culture
Find out more about what makes South Korean culture distinctive in this visually appealing mini-lecture. The talk is expected to use a fortress-hopping tour of South Korea, with eight stops, starting in the north at Suwon and venturing south to Jinju, as a window on to South Korean history, culture and society. The mini-lecture includes a roundup of work and funded study opportunities in South Korea.
4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Individual appointments
Talented St Andrews students, alumni and members of the community are invited to pre-book individual discussions (10 minutes per appointment) to discuss applying to live and work in northeast Asia - particularly if you are interested in applying for the role of Educational Ambassador on the September 2020 Ambassador Year in China Programme or would like to apply for other roles with Ambright Education Group (e.g. bilingual specialist teacher).
